Mondays can be tough, but I like to think of them as a fresh start. A chance to hit the reset button and set yourself up for a successful week.

So let's get started! Here's what's on tap for today...

Good Morning! It's Monday, time to start the week off right!

Happy Monday. Mondays have a certain kind of energy. It's a new week and time to take a high level view of the week ahead, review your week ahead and get started!

Take a few minutes to jot down any appointments or meetings you need to attend and don't forget any games or events that are scheduled.

Having a visual reminder will help keep you motivated throughout the week. So today is the perfect chance to set the tone for the rest of your week - think positive, make it happen!

Make a list of things you want to accomplish this week

This week, it's time to make a list of projects you want to accomplish. BUT, before you start this list ... review your weekly notes from last week.

  • What worked well?
  • What can you celebrate as accomplished? Give yourself some credit where credit is due.
  • What could you have done better? Learn from mistakes.

Once you've reviewed your week last week, carry forward anything you need to continue working on this week.

NOW, you can write out the projects you need to work on or complete this week.

  • What are some of your goals for this week?

Think about the projects that have been weighing on your mind and commit to crossing them off the list!

Additionally, pick up some healthy habits and set movement objectives for yourself. Exercise is such a great way to feel inspired and energized for the day so why not challenge yourself with an achievable daily goal.

Whether it's running, stretching, yoga or simply walking around the block – move in ways that bring you joy throughout each day. Not just for your body but for your mind too!

Wondering How to Motivate Yourself Today?

There aren't enough people in the world to to give us the pats on the back we deserve, you need to learn how to give yourself a pat on the back.

How?

It can start as small as making yourself a promise today, 'and keeping it!"

When you keep your promise to yourself (whatever it is) you can give yourself an internal 'pat on the back'. Smile and enjoy that second cup of coffee!

EDITORS TIP: Find a couple of walking buddies in your neighborhood. Or drive into town, if you have to, to meet a couple of friends to walk. Establishing a morning walk routine over 30 years ago has made all the difference in my overall health (mental health included). Every kitchen needs a personal size blender! Here's a FAV Recipe to get you started (if you already have a rocket blender in your cupboard):

FAV RECIPE (do you love Kale like we do?)

  • 1 teaspoon chia seeds
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 4 ounces fresh pineapple chucks (or Mango)
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed fresh kale leaves, chopped
  • 1/2 cup coconut water | or coconut milk
  • Add a Protein Powder, if you like for muscle repair, digestion (unflavored)

OR if you prefer a chocolate flavor

FAV RECIPE (like a chocolate iced coffee for the morning)

  • crushed ice
  • 1.5 c coconut milk (unsweetened)
  • 1 ripe avocado (I've replaced the avocado with banana too)
  • .5 cup of cold (or cooled) coffee
  • Add a Protein Powder, if you like (chocolate)

Blend it all up in your personal sized blender and enjoy!


Good Monday Morning! It's Going to Be a Wonderful Week.

Monday mornings don't have to be dreaded - embrace them and set yourself up for success!

Begin by taking the time to lay out your plans for the week, writing down what you want to accomplish and setting little goals for each day. Once you have a plan of action on paper, get moving.

Make the decision to get out of bed earlier than usual, maybe watch the sun rise, then use those extra minutes to fit something into your day that makes you feel productive.

Exercise is always a great way to start off your Monday morning - movement energizes the mind and body, while eating nutritious food will help fuel you throughout the day.
